Action needed to protect loss-making care providers, MPs told
A third of care providers could be operating at a loss, with growing concern that additional costs over winter will stretch the sector even further, MPs have been told.

CPA welcomes new Chair Kathy Roberts 
The Care Provider Alliance (CPA) has welcomed Kathy Roberts as the new incoming Chair for the 2020/2021 term. The role of the Chair rotates annually between membership organisations of the CPA; Kathy is Chief Executive of the Association of Mental Health Providers.

Coronavirus Life Assurance Scheme 2020 – NHS BSA
The Government has a life assurance scheme for frontline health and social care staff who contract coronavirus during the course of their work, paying a £60,000 lump sum where staff die as a result of coronavirus and had been recently working in frontline roles and locations where personal care is provided to individuals who have contracted coronavirus.  The scheme is administered by the NHS Business Services Authority (NHS BSA). Contact the NHS BSA helpline on 0300 330 3331.
