Bird Watcher's Digest
Attention Advertisers:
Nov/DEC advertising Opportunities
Don't Miss These Marketing Opportunities with Bird Watcher's Digest. Celebrating 40 Years!

Dear Advertising Partner,

As we approach the close of a difficult year, we look forward to new beginnings in 2021.

I am grateful to all of you for your continued support of Bird Watcher's Digest. So much has changed, but I assure you that our capable and committed staff continues to produce our print magazine with top-notch stories and advertising that resonates with birders around the world. There are only a handful of quality print magazines still standing, especially in the niche birding market. We are proud to be going strong and reaching a record number of subscribers right now. However, in order to sustain our print publication, we need your help. It is YOU, our print advertisers, who make it possible for us to continue publishing this award-winning, niche magazine for bird watchers around the world.

In the coming weeks, we will be launching a fully revised media kit for 2021. If you have any questions in the interim about 2021 ad planning, please feel free to schedule a meeting with me!

Why Advertise in the November/December Issue?

If you have ANY dollars to spare for advertising this year, I encourage you to consider an insertion in the November/December issue.

Here's Why!

  • This is your last opportunity to reach our large, loyal audience through print in 2020! Outreach to birders in the November/December issue is critical if you plan to end the year with strong sales, empowered followers, and new birders who are eager to connect with your brand.
  • There are fewer ads in this issue, which means YOUR ad will receive more exposure and MORE engagement. Unfortunately, COVID-19's adverse business effects have required some of our longstanding advertising partners to reduce or even eliminate the balance of their 2020 print insertions. You'll get more visibility with less competition!
  • We have more subscribers right now than we've had in nearly 30 years. (Read that again—it's a BIG DEAL!) This is your chance to create or reinforce brand recognition, familiarity, and trust with our growing, qualified birding audience.
  • Contact me between August 28 and September 4 to reserve your November/December ad space, and I will include a value-added social media post with your reservation at no charge. (Bonus advertising for the win!) ****This value-added social media post must be used by December 31, 2020.****

A Special Message for Our Travel & Tourism Friends

By the time the November/December issue hits mailboxes and newsstands, we will have launched 12 Reader Rendezvous tours for 2021. As a result of months of research and planning, we have developed COVID-safe procedures to ensure the safety and peace of mind of our participants. We've already begun promoting some of these tours, and available spaces are filling up! This positive response shows our readers know we are committed to their travel safety. It also means this: BIRDERS STILL WANT TO TRAVEL, EVEN DURING THE PANDEMIC.

When our readers see your ad in Bird Watcher's Digest, they associate your brand with a trusted leader in the birding world—42 years and counting. If you are a travel or tourism business in a position to advertise, please show your support by advertising with us. Our readers know we are "walking the walk" of COVID-safe travel. In fact, we're bringing birders to many of your areas of the country in 2021! We are YOUR CHANNEL for conveying safe travel to the birding community. Advertise today, and join us in promoting safe, healthy, birding travel in 2021 and beyond.

Wishing you and those in your world a safe and healthy fall season.
