The APOST Virtual Back to Out-of-School Time Conference is almost over, but don't worry! We still have tons of great content the rest of this week for you to tune into as we all hop headfirst into fall programming!
Wednesday, Sept 9th 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM - PBS 101 Middle School Track Explore the full range of PBS materials on literacy, numeracy, and social and emotional wellness in this fast-paced session that integrates games with books, apps, and videos, while connecting home to school and back.
Thursday, Sept 10th 10:00 AM - 11:30 PM - Making Academic Content Exciting with Narrative Games Learn how narrative games, also known as tabletop role playing games, can be a fun and engaging way to present academic content.
Friday, Sept 11th 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Virtual (Outdoor) Learning: Incentives, Movement, and More Learn about fun ways to engage your kids in "outdoor" learning in a virtual way!

Looking for COVID-19 Answers?
The rapid changes of COVID-19 may lead to a growing list of questions regarding safety and health. This guide was developed by Megan Culler Freeman MD, PhD, Glenn Rapsinski MD, PhD, and Michael Green, MD, MPH from UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Division of Pediatric Infectious Disease to provide school staff and personnel with the most up-to-date information on COVID-19. The document will be updated frequently to reflect the current situation and will be helpful for OST providers.
If you have an immediate question or concern that is not addressed by this document please contact 2-1-1. Their staff are trained to assist school, out-of-school time, and early childcare staff with navigating COVID-19 in the school setting.

If your organization provides child care, after-school, out-of-school, and/or summer programming, please update or submit your listing as soon as possible on the Allegheny County Child Care Finder website.
If your program information is already in the APOST Program Finder, it will automatically be transferred and you can instantly start program updates by using the link above! By updating your information, the Allegheny Child Care tool will assist you in promoting and marketing your program(s) to families. This will allow your program to expedite the process of getting children enrolled, thus making a stressful task less burdensome for families.
