Amendments to the Land Owner Transparency Act (LOTA) received Royal Assent on August 14, 2020 as part of Bill 13. The Province is targeting late Fall 2020 for the initial launch to begin collecting information in the Land Owner Transparency Registry (LOTR), and the ability to search the registry is targeted for early 2021.

Webinars with partner organizations are beginning this month, including a session at the upcoming BC Notaries Association 2020 Virtual Conference, and a professional development session for members of the BC Paralegal Association. Stay tuned for additional webinars planned for the coming weeks. An updated LOTR Overview is also available for those unable to attend a live session.
