I do love Star Trek!!!

A favorite scripture

14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.

15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.

16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:14-16

MARK YOUR CALENDAR for our parking lot Halftime for families and eMERGE youth beginning Wednesday, September 9 from 6-7 pm. We will gather in the West parking lot. Bring blankets and chairs. Weather permitting.
Donations Still Needed
The SERVE Team is asking for donations of masks to donate to the nursing facilities around town. We are asking people to have them sewn (pattern attached) or purchased and given to the church by the end of September so we can deliver them before the worst of the flu season starts. The pattern is the accepted pattern for the masks that the hospital requested when needing donations. Thank you!
ZOOM Brings the World a Little Closer...
The New Seekers Sunday School class received a little help from Phoenix these last two weeks. Jim and Myrna Stephens have been leading the Sunday School class. They moved to Phoenix a while back but are still able to participate with us thanks to Zoom! Anyone is welcome to join the group no matter where you are located!!!
STUDENT BIBLES
The 3rd and 6th-grade students will receive new bibles at Halftime on September 23. We will celebrate this milestone during worship on September 27. Please plan to tune in on the radio at KVOE or live-stream to witness this celebration!
CROSSROADS Time Change
Attention all Crossroad participants - beginning this Sunday, Crossroads Youth Group will meet from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm. This is due to the upcoming time change and since we meet outside we want to use all the sunlight we can!!!
Confirmation Class of 2020 - thank you to Connie Shrock-Fry for photoshopping these confirmation kids into one picture for them. These students have not physically been all together since March. Even their confirmation services were with only half of the kids each night to allow social distancing. Thank you Connie for your talent, and congratulations again to them!
Sunday, September 13, 10:35 a.m.
Livestream at fumchurch.org
or listen on KVOE 1400.

Parking Lot Worship

This Sunday, September 13, we will continue our 8 am parking lot worship service on the west side of the church.

You will want to make sure your FM radio is working in your vehicle and will be instructed Sunday morning as to what channel to set it at to hear the worship service.

We ask that you remain in your vehicle during the service.

Restrooms will not be available.

It is our hope that this is an opportunity and means for us to more visibly be and feel like we are the church together. Hope to see you!

The 10:35 worship service will continue to be Live-Streamed on KVOE.

We stay busy at our preschool in both classes with lots of fun! Some of our favorite activities are pretending and dramatic play, cars, music, snack, and we like to play with playdough and do art projects. Everyone is doing well and we are following the COVID guidelines to stay healthy!
