Dear Nefesh Community,
In ten days we will enter into the New Year of 5781. Now is the time to reflect on ourselves, on our relationships with our beloveds, and to—and with—our world. This past Shabbat I shared a process of doing an inventory, a cheshbon hanefesh, to prepare to enter the holy days. Here is the link to that teaching
And please join us this Saturday morning for Shabbat! Kids service 9:30am, 10am Torah service. (Register for Saturday Sept 12 Shabbat)
We have an abundance of offerings for these holy days. We are very much looking forward to moving through them with you. We are asking for a donation for each service to help us cover our costs and please know that the amount is customizable so you can donate what you are able. You are most welcome to share with family and friends. https://www.nefeshla.org/high-holy-days-2020/
We will begin next Thursday 9/17 5-7pm with a New Year contactless drive-through to pick up prayer books. You can also pick up your New Year Delights bag - it is a Nefesh canvas tote filled with delicious fruits and honey and meaningful gifts for the New Year. If you have yet to order one do so right now (or very soon as we need to prepare them for you). We look forward to seeing you in person next Thursday and sharing greetings! St. Be’s 2109 Chickasaw Avenue LA, CA 90041
Rosh Hashanah will begin the next day, Friday night, Erev Shabbat, September 18th. We will enter into the New Year with a walking meditation filled with song, heart, and goodness. You can download the audio meditation service and walk (or sit) where you choose or meet us in person at St. Paul's Commons in Echo Park with the walk around the Echo Park Lake *note the new location. https://saintala.org/ 840 Echo Park Avenue LA, CA 90026
