General News
Mālō e lelei members! It's Tongan Language week so we're practicing saying 'hello' in Tongan.
We've had another great week at the Club - special thanks to all the Dads and families who visited on Father's Day to enjoy a lovely meal.
Feedback
We've had some awesome feedback too that we'd love to share (with permission of the member in question of course!) - Ian and Pat Thomas recently dined for Ian's birthday, and he wanted to thank the Club and staff for the great friendly service, meals and drinks, and being able to use the Club for this special occasion. Ian and Pat said that their guests were most impressed and look forward to returning.
Ian and Pat said it was a memorable evening, and that they're proud to be members!
Thanks so much Ian and Pat for sending that feedback through - it made our day!
Hopefully our last reminder about Alert Level 2
We're eagerly awaiting the next announcement regarding Alert Levels but for now we're still operating the same way as the last couple of weeks, so expect to scan and sign in when you get here please.
- Please sign in when you arrive (if you've got the COVID tracer app on your cellphone then please scan that as you come in, but that's for your records - we still require you to sign our contact tracing register please).
- You'll be seated at a table when you arrive and be assigned a wait person - this lovely person will bring you your food and drinks - so sit back and enjoy!
- You may leave your table to head out to the smokers' area, to use the bathroom of course and to head up to the bar to pay just before you leave.
- Wash hands, sanitise, and as much as we love you all - please don't visit if you or anyone in your immediate bubble is ill.
Swimming Pool
Now for some good news - we're getting so much closer to reopening our fabulous pool everyone! We aim to open it over Labour Weekend usually, but obviously it is weather dependent. In the meantime, please enjoy and dream about this lovely photo taken a few minutes ago - aaaahhhhh..... poolside dreaming......
Pool keys - if you have a pool key, you've probably noticed that you've not been invoiced for this year yet - as we changed our membership and billing system we were unable to include the pool key charge along with your membership fee this year. I'll be sending out separate invoices over the next few weeks.
If you are new, and you don't know about pool keys - well have I got news for you! You may rent a pool key for the year - this gives you access to the pool gate at the bottom of the car park, meaning you can come in and use the pool outside of Club opening hours. It's particularly good for those long summer days when the Club doesn't open till 1:00pm or 2:00pm, and you fancy a morning dip. Keys are just $25.00 for the year - please fill out an application form at the bar if you'd like one.
Membership Cards - Remember to pick yours up when you're here next.
- If you're an existing member and you've renewed your membership by paying your subscription then your card is in the boxes at the sign in table - please ask the person manning the table to get it for you.
- If you've not paid, then I haven't printed your card yet. You're very welcome to pay at the bar - they'll let me know and I'll print your card the next time I'm at the Club.
- If you've asked me to post your card out, then you have either just received it or will be about to receive it in the mail. We know it can take a while sometimes for the post to get there!
- If you're a brand new member, then I will post your card out - there's a letter and a Member Handbook that we like to give you when you're new, so it's easier to post all of that out in one go.
Very Important note about membership - remember our membership draws? It was a while ago that we last held them so we don't blame you if they're just a faint distant memory. The good news is, that once we get back to normal, COVID-speaking, we'll be resuming them! To be eligible to be able to win, you must be a fully paid up member and have your card with you on the night. So please - pay your membership if you've not already paid it, and pick up your card!
