Curtiss's Milkweed, Asclepias curtissii, is an endangered and endemic perennial. Scattered and localized populations can be found in well-drained, sandy habitats throughout the Florida peninsula. If you can beat the summer heat, its white blooms and maroon buds are a treat to find out on the trail.

What interesting summer blooms have you seen this year? Share them with us! Email a photo to BrowardChapterFNPS@gmail.com for a chance to have your image featured in an upcoming newsletter.
