Welcome to YMCA’s Youth-Led Solutions

YMCA launched the Youth-Led Solutions initiative, to activate young leaders to address global issues. Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), it is an international collaboration facilitated by local YMCAs around the world.

We’re looking for innovators age 15 to 35. Have a solution? A new idea? YMCA’s Youth-Led Solutions will innovate, upscale and support concept development to address the climate emergency. Seed funding, learning resources and coaches available. More at www.ymcayouthsolutions.org.

ONLINE POWERSPACE WEBINAR SERIES - 1

We hosted the first session of the Online YMCA Powerspace where we will explored what it means to be an Entrepreneur.

Cedric Dzelu was be our speaker for the day. Cedric is the Executive Director of www.hopeperformancetennis.org, graduated S2C Ambassador and Change Agent. He is also an entrepreneur and avid sportsman.

ONLINE POWERSPACE WEBINAR SERIES - 2

We hosted two young passionate entrepreneurs in the second session of the Online YMCA Powerspace.

The session was in French and our wonderful young panelists who are also entrepreneurs in their countries, discussed their self awareness journey and how it is key when it comes to Entrepreneurship

Africa Youth Scenarios Webinar Series

The African Youth Scenarios is a forecast of how the Trends will play out between now and 2063, the year marked out for the completion of the Renaissance of Africa by the African Union’s Agenda 2063. Recent developments with the Covid 19 Pandemic have accelerated key trends and put significant pressure on the people and institutions of Africa.
The YMCA would like to share this knowledge and insight with the rest of the continent. We would like to tell the story of the Horizons, and using this forecast be able to craft innovative interventions for and with the millions of youth in the continent. It is for this reason that we hosted Zoom sessions that are centered on Innovating for the Future of the Continent through African youth.
