EBLRLA Member Spotlight: Veronica Rios Reddick
Veronica is a Deputy District Attorney at the Alameda County District Attorney's Office. 

Veronica received her Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley and her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.  

While at UC Hastings, she was the Communications Editor for the Hastings Race and Poverty Law Journal and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Trial Advocacy II (Criminal) and Race, Racism and the American Law

Veronica has served on the EBLRLA board of directors since 2010. She is a former Membership Chair and the current Judicial Endorsement Committee Chair.

What inspired you to join the law profession?
I became a prosecutor to curb systematic racism and to protect my community. In order to effectively make change, change must come from within the institution.
Contra Costa Senior Legal Services

Contra Costa Senior Legal Services (CCSLS) is a private, nonprofit agency that has been providing free legal services to older residents of the County since 1976. 
 
CCSLS provides an array of services, including, but not limited to:

The new Census 2020 deadline is September 30. To date, the response rate is only 74% in Alameda County and 76% in Contra Costa County. For each person who doesn't get counted, we will lose around $2,000 per year for the next 10 years. Those are federal dollars lost for critical programs and services. 

Complete the Census form today! Remind friends and family. It's only 9 short questions which can be completed online at 2020census.gov in 10 minutes. Be counted! ¡Sea contado!
