Together with healthcare PR company HAVAS Just:: the team from The Edge Picture Company created a film that was designed to be part of a cultural shift, celebrating and elevating those small moments of connection people can have to eliminate loneliness. Campaign to End Loneliness earned double Gold from the Grand Jury in Corporate Social Responsibility Not For Profit and Social Good.
Casting British comedian Andy Parsons to break down those awkward British barriers through shared laughter and storytelling and using strategically placed cameras and microphones in the filming area made it possible to capture the authentic and genuine conversations that created a real connection between Andy and the public.
Multiple press releases for the campaign together with the film were distributed across traditional media, digital media, and social media channels with the hashtag #campaignagainstloneliness generating over 3.5 million views and 81 million social media impressions across all channels.
So, here’s to the storytellers: the filmmakers, journalists, cinematographers, sound designers, writers, directors, and producers whose passion and imagination transport us. And who could be receiving awards in April!
