The OIE marks World Rabies Day
and presents its ongoing work on various activities
This month's issue highlights the OIE's activities in the global fight against rabies. A new United Against Rabies Forum aims to accelerate progress towards the elimination of human deaths from dog-mediated rabies by 2030. The disease continues to kill one person every nine minutes - almost half of them children. Read more.
This issue also takes a closer look at tackling global challenges through strong international cooperation, the OIE Observatory, African swine fever, antiparasitic resistance, further response to COVID-19 and more.

AT A GLANCE
#Zoonoses
New online training: Navigating the Tripartite Zoonoses Guide (TZG)
Taking a multisectoral, One Health approach is necessary to address complex health threats at the human-animal-environment interface. The Tripartite organisations – the OIE, FAO and WHO, launched the Tripartite Zoonoses Guide (TZG) in 2019, to provide guidance and best practices for addressing zoonotic diseases in countries. This new training introduces participants to the TZG while providing practical guidance for strengthening a One Health approach to zoonotic diseases.
