Dear <<First Name>>

You are cordially invited to join us for the socially distanced world première of The Two Fridas in the grounds of The Bowes Museum, Newgate, Barnard Castle DL12 8NP, on Saturday 19th September at 6pm.

Experience one of the world’s most famous self-portraits being brought to life from the canvas to the stage - through dance, music and live painting as the Billingham International Folklore Festival of World Dance and Balbir Singh Dance Company present a bold tribute to the creative heroine behind The Two Fridas, Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.

A twist in the tale will also see Kahlo share the spotlight with a celebration of pioneering Hungarian-Indian painter, Amrita Sher-Gil, whose life and work bore many striking similarities with that of Frida Kahlo.

Please RSVP to alphie.bsdc@gmail.com to receive your complimentary tickets (two tickets for each invited guest)

The Two Fridas is supported by Arts Council England through its National Lottery Project Grants Programme.
PS. You can also keep up to date with the creative development process for The Two Fridas through our online interactive magazine. As well as BSDC's work there are creative contributions from our Mexican, Indian, Hungarian and French project partners. To see the latest issue click here
