OUTREACH OPPORTUNITY
Do you have a call to connect with BUMC Kids in a whole new way? We have developed some special new roles for our community of children and families as we roll out this fall! Our classes are in need of ENCOURAGERS and GUIDES for the 2020-2021 year! These two new volunteer positions are aimed to support our BUMC Kids during this time of social distance and virtual connection.Have questions or want to sign up?
Email Gwen Sass for PK4-K classes and Megan Teegarden for Elementary Classes.
COMMUNION SUNDAY
This Sunday, we will approach the Lord's Table to receive Holy Communion. As you gather in worship at home with the whole family, prepare your own elements to take part in this sacred meal with us. Try to MAKE YOUR OWN BREAD IN A BAG for this week's Communion.
CHILDREN'S MUSIC UPDATES
Mr. James and the Children's Music team are thinking outside the box this Fall!  Check out  THIS VIDEO  to see Mr. James' update and ideas! Also, please take a moment to fill out the Children's Music Interest Survey if you are interested in participating in Children's Music this fall. This survey will add you to the mailing list along with help the Music Team hear your thoughts!

BUMC KIDS FALL KICKOFF
September 12 9:00-1:00
Join BUMC Kids for a celebration of the new school year unlike any before! Safely bring your family to visit our front lawn to gather fun gifts for kids, family faith resources and information about BUMC Kids programs and activities this fall. You will also get a chance to see BUMC Kids staff and pastors in person!

SUNDAY MORNINGS WITH BUMC KIDS
September 13
Starting Sunday, September 13th, BUMC Kids will be providing weekly interactive videos for both PreK and Elementary! This year begins our first year using a new and exciting curriculum from Cokesbury called Celebrate Wonder, and we are looking forward to all of the ways it will help you wonder and grow in your faith as a family. Every Sunday morning, videos will be posted on our NEW BUMC Kids Youtube Channel, This is a great way to continue the "Sunday school" experience while we anxiously wait to return to meeting together in person. 
 
BUMC KIDS WEEKLY CHECK-IN
We want to stay connected to you all as best we can while we are not able to meet in person. Most importantly, we want to hear from your kids about how they are doing each week! Fill out this form (or have your elementary-aged child it fill out the form as a fun learning experience) and we'll be in touch with you!

September's family faith activities begin our journey in celebrating the wonder of our God's Creativity.Check out these fun and applicable daily tasks that will help your family focus on small moments that will deepen your faith.

BUMC KIDS WORSHIP ACTIVITIES 
Download our BUMC Kids Worship Activities which will help your child connect with our worship services and reflect on what they are seeing and hearing. Print out to use at home or bring with you when you register for in-person worship.

BUMC is happy to offer this streaming service to get access to recommended Bible studies, teachings, sermons, live streams and more. Take a look at the videos from our friends at Cokesbury Kids and watch weekly videos that go hand in hand with our curriculum starting September 13th, or browse for a Bible study for yourself!

ILLUSTRATED MINISTRY
Each week, Illustrated Ministry will be putting out free spiritual resources for families during this time of social distancing. Sign up to get coloring pages and more to help your child continue to grow in their faith. 

CELEBRATE WONDER BIBLE 
This  beautiful new  children's Bible published by our friends at the United Methodist Publishing house goes hand in hand with our new weekly faith videos which will launch in September. If interested, purchase your own copy to read along! 
PRAYING FOR CHANGE *NEW*
In these days of political division, COVID-19, heightened racial tensions and protests, we turn to prayer once again. Prayer is the proper response during these times and is the centerpiece of the Christian life. Discipleship Ministries has a free daily prayer crafted for just these times.  SIGN UP,  and you will receive a prayer each day by email that you can utilize in your daily life.
