Share Your Lessons Learned From Working Remotely

Elon faculty and staff have spent the past six months transitioning from in-person courses and typical work days to remote instruction and work and back again, in one way, shape or form. Last spring, the threat of COVID-19 resulted in a swift transition to online courses and work-from-home environments. Now, virtual and face-to-face structures combine to help facilitate blended learning and other measures to help prevent the spread of the virus on campus. For many, these are not only new experiences, but also new technologies, processes, course formats and more.

Information Technology (IT) wants to know how you have been impacted by these recent transitions. Please take a few minutes to review and complete a brief survey (four questions) about your lessons learned during this time of remote instruction and work. This survey is designed for appointed Technology Champions only. Responses will be collected and shared anonymously with IT leadership. Submit a Lessons Learned Survey

The Center for Design Thinking & Maker Hub team up

The Center for Design Thinking and The Maker Hub launched the Pop-Up & Play Campaign on Tuesday, Aug. 25, outside of Lindner Hall. The campaign is designed to support Elon’s Act-Belong-Commit model and offers a series of safe and physically distanced events from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday on the patio outside of Pandora’s Pies.

The twice-weekly event features different kits supplied by The Maker Hub for students, faculty and staff, from face masks, to dish towels, headbands, stress balls and more. Members of the Elon community may choose to stay-and-play or take-and-make with their kit. View Full Article
