Getting started in...

The Kennel Club has unveiled a series of ‘Getting started in…’ videos, which show dog-lovers how they can get involved in a range of activities with their canine companion.

Each video is narrated by an ex Young Kennel Club member, with demonstrations from their four-legged teammate, including tips on how to get into the activity, what it takes to be successful and practical training advice.

Coronavirus and its effect on the price of puppies and pet insurance

Lockdown has given us more time to spend with our pets. However, coronavirus (COVID-19) has affected prices across many industries, particularly on the cost of dogs and dog insurance.

The team at GoCompare has put together a report that reveals the cost of dogs and dog insurance during the recent pandemic. It includes the average price of a dog by month, year and which dog breeds have been affected the most.

It’s important for pet owners to know the impact of coronavirus on pet insurance and get the right cover, at the right price.

This GoCompare article says that the price of Smooth Dachshunds has increased by nearly 60% in the past year.
