Happy September! Looking forward to all those lovely autumn colours.
Even though it's quiet with Coding Grace activities, the Irish tech community are as busy as a bee. The virtual events will be hanging around more until further notice, or at least find a way to get on with things in a safe and manageable fashion during Covid-19. I'm sure missing in-person events, but let's keep doing what we are doing, keeping everyone safe and support our local Irish tech community organisers by attending and speaking at their events. 💪

|
🛠Are you working on a project? Share it with us, I'm happy to have you as a guest blog. Drop me an email at contact@codinggrace.com.
😓BTW, I've started to notice that Irish events listings by organisers on meetup and eventbrite are getting non-Irish events mixed in, so shifting through them takes a wee bit more time. But I hope the curated list of mainly Irish Tech and Diversity in Tech events we have in our monthly newsletter (and our live blog) is of use to you until we figure out how/when we can run our own workshops.

🌈 Your Support 🌈
🤔We are still interested in finding out what you are interesting in learning, especially now that we are indoors and would be a great opportunity to learn new skills.
|
🤲We mentioned this in our newsletter last month. We want to try and make Coding Grace sustainable, our huge expense is our accountant each year. So we are trying out Open Collective and we are open to donations from individuals and corporates. We are not-for-profit and it's wholly volunteer-based running it.
|
|
📍Where am I this month?
I'm not going anywhere, still WFH. I'll still be running virtual PyLadies Dublin meetups, nearly got the hang of it. 😊
I'm planning to see if I can run a CircuitPython Day (09/09/2020) in collaboration with Python Ireland and PyLadies Dublin. If you are interested in getting involved, drop my an email at dublin@pyladies.com

📖READ, 🎦WATCH, 🎧LISTEN
Morphed from the monthly 📚Reading list this month. If you have something to share in our reading, podcast or video list, drop me an email.
We are also on dev.to, it's a platform for devs to post what they are up to, and we are cross-posting to it ourselves. We are open to folks share articles with us, and if you are also on the platform, please follow us. If you want to contribute, I will send you the key to join us.
|
|
Finally, I hope everyone stay healthy and safe. #WearFaceMasks and #WashYourHands is ever so important right now, let's get through this together. 😷🧼
Thanks,
/// Vicky

In case your are curious, I go through meetup, eventbrite and other places each month to curate events of interest for this newsletter, it takes a lot my time. If you find that this is not useful, let me know. In the meantime, after each newsletter, I'll post more updates on CodingGrace.com blog and do feel free to share events in the comments.
BTW, Startup Digest Dublin also has a great listings of events happening in Dublin.
Want me to include an event? Email me at contact@codinggrace.com.
⚠️NOTE: Due to covid-19, please check various event pages for their latest updates.
|
|
Looks like in-person events are restricted, will keep an eye out and come back in Oct for updates.
