Symptoms & Responses

Students should stay home, or may be sent home if they have symptoms consistent with Covid-19 listed below:
One of the following symptoms: New cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, New loss of taste or smell.
OR
Two of the following symptoms: Fever of 100.3 or greater, headache, body aches, fatigue, sore throat, runny nose, congestion, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea

Students need to remain home until:
1) 10 days have passed since the symptoms started; AND the child has been fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication
OR
2) The student has a specific alternative diagnosis documented by his/her health care provider, and shared with the school.

Once your child has a negative COVID-19 test and has not been in close contact of a person who tested positive for COVID-19, he/she can return to school 24 hours after their fever and other symptoms resolve.

Student Masses update
Student Masses will begin this week, on Thursday Sept. 10th. The students have practiced where to sit and how to participate. Unfortunately. that only leaves the back pew and the choir loft (upstairs) for parents to sit. We love it when our parents attend Mass with us, but we ask that you leave enough space for the parents of the students who are hosting the Mass that particular week.

Reading Breakfast

Students who read seven or more books during the summer are invited to join me for breakfast Tuesday morning.

Thank you PTO
Please join me in thanking all who attended our PTO meeting on Wednesday. They agreed to purchase Bibles for our 3rd & 4th graders. They also agreed to purchase $500 worth of playground equipment so each grade would have their own set of balls, chalk, jump ropes, etc.

Who?
I would like to thank whoever added the beautifully engraved SJS stone to our butterfly garden. It's a perfect addition and looks awesome!

SCRIP
What are the benefits of using SCRIP?
  • Our church and school get a regular source of revenue.
  • Once you spend $1000 in face value of scrip, you receive a rebate of 2% on all your purchases. This rebate can be applied toward your tuition or you can receive the rebate back in cash or in scrip cards.
Last year we were able to raise close to $25,000. If everyone participated in the scrip program this number could be so much higher!! Visit shopwithscrip.com for more info...any questions can be sent to stjohneaglesscrip@gmail.com.  THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!
