Data Science Experience Day 2020
Bringing together students and companies
JADS and D.S.A. Pattern invite you to join the Data Science Experience Day 2020 (DEX). This event, previously known as the Career Perspective Day, brings together students, young professionals and companies to explore the future of data science.
This year’s edition on October 7, 2020, will be a special one, in which a large part of the program will take place online and some smaller parts will take place at JADS in ‘s-Hertogenbosch.

A new startup at JADS: GOAL 3
 Starting September 1, we welcome a new startup at the JADS Mariënburg Campus: GOAL 3, a social enterprise that was established in 2019 with the ambition to improve quality of patiënt care in low-resource settings by making data-driven technology accessible. A first step is to develop a durable and easy to use patient monitoring system for children and neonates which enables doctors and nurses to detect critical illnesses in an early stage. Everyone who followed the news knows that student introductions look a little differently in 2020. A campus tour, normally an important part of the introduction of new students, is not an option.
But our students prove again that creative thinking is a vital skill of this age. They created a virtual campus tour video. Now not only new students, but everyone can tour our beautiful Mariënburg campus!

Congratulations to 19 newly Certified Data Scientists
On the 24th of September the moment was finally there! The Graduation Ceremony of the Data Science for Industry program from Professional Education. In November 2019, 22 participants started the program. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the program was delayed for three months and the participants had to work during the summer holiday to finish their projects. Last Friday their hard work was rewarded: 19 of them finally received their certificate. We would like to congratulate these participants and wish them good luck with their new insights and skills in Data Science!
