Hi everyone,
I hope you're well and have had a happy and healthy August, with lots of sunshine, whether in New Zealand or Scotland (am so grateful to have subscribers from around the world) - the month seemed to fly by here and brought with it a few changes.
Very happy to be contacted about having my work in the beautiful, busy St Ives gallery 'The Blue Bramble'. It's also wonderful to have been working there a litle bit over the summer and meeting customers and artists, local and from afar! St Ives is such an iconic area for artists and has a unique energy and light, in all seasons.
A jackdaw and an oil painting have already flown from the gallery to new homes x
I've also been adding to my podcast, a new venture (and quite addictive!) and there are a few more things I'd love to share with you about what's been happening here at the Felting & Painting HQ!...

I love doing these sketches... & going straight in with the pen!
This one also shows George & Mildred the two friendly sparrows, next to the table and chairs (quite hard to spot)! They come to say hello and work in partnership for crumbs - often hopping over from 'Olives' next door 
(They're on the railings, one above, one below x)

- The International Zoom workshops are continuing to go really well and are such a joy! Thank you to all who participate in these, we've created such a safe, sharing and welcoming space. Intuitive painting from a space of openness, non-judgement and surprise, after meditation. With added mini bookclub, oracle cards, a little Qigong sometimes :) and whatever arises x
Last Sunday we painted together, from Cornwall to Colorado :) around an energy theme of releasing, returning, and on peace within and warm-heartedness.

- Not so much gardening this month and all is growing so quickly! How about your gardens? Some balmy days which reminded me of a pastel painting from last year - 'Lampranthus Summer', which is now in New Zealand x

- Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find the time for felting in August! with all the busyness in other areas, but am hoping to begin again soon, with some wonderful commissions to start.

So much of my work around felting, painting and wellbeing is inspired by sensitivity & gentleness and the strengths of these qualities. It's also about confidence, voice and celebration ...and as such, in a whoosh! I recently created a podcast!
Episodes will be added quite slowly at first ...but I just know it's going to create its own momentum! I have a few friends lined up ready soon for chats and guest interviews! - and have just published the first of these - with the wonderful Vimla Sharma! Vimi shares such wisdom and strength in this conversation episode. Please do click to listen and also read about her journey and experiences in the episode show notes.

- I've also been adding some 'Morning poems' to the podcast that blew in with the wind and the rain and wrote themselves really! All great for practising, too with the editing for intros and outros!
