THE FORTS OF NIAGARA
Two of the oldest European sites in Niagara are located 40kms apart, at both ends of the Niagara River. Fort George and Fort Erie are lasting reminders of the European movement into what we now know as Niagara.
These two structures have been burned down, occupied, reconstructed and much more.  Parks Canada and the Niagara Parks Commission own and operate these reminders of our history and during this discussion, we will explore their history, the stories behind the walls and the people who share this history.  Join us as we speak to Travis Hill, Site Manager of Old Fort Erie and Peter Martin, Visitor Experience Product Development Officer from Fort George to learn more about these great sites.

COLLECTING COVID-19
The Niagara Falls History Museum is seeking donations of items that will help us document this defining moment of our time.
Museums collect objects and stories that help people learn from and connect with the past. Niagara Falls is a beloved hometown and an international destination connecting with people both near and far. We want to hear from our friends at home and around the world with stories of the pandemic that relate to our City.
Some examples of things we might collect: Photographs, drawings, paintings, signs, posters, scrapbooks, videos, poems, music, journals & letters postcards, flyers etc. You tell us what matters. Items can be digital or analogue. DETAILS

EMPATHIC TRADITIONS: NIAGARA'S INDIGENOUS LEGACY
The Niagara Falls Museums teamed up with Landscape of Nations 360⁰ to create an exciting new virtual exhibition that explores the Museums’ collections of Indigenous artifacts as curated through the perspective of Indigenous curators and their allies.

Featured objects selected from the Indigenous collections of the Niagara Falls History Museum reveal the presence of Indigenous peoples, their art and history in the region, extending back to the earliest human inhabitation of the region. From the Paleoindian Period reaching back 13,000 years, through the Archaic and Woodland Periods, to European contact and modern times, Indigenous peoples have always been an essential part of Niagara.
