General News

Welcome to Spring members!

We'd like to start by saying a huge thank you to all of our lovely members who are visiting and continuing to support the Club during Alert Level 2. We understand it can be frustrating and stressful for everyone, and really appreciate your support.
At Alert Level 2 we are still required to operate using a 'single server' process, that is, you need to be seated at your table and the same serving person will come to you to take your food and beverage orders, and then bring them to you. We know this can create delays in some cases, especially if we're busy and nearing or at our 100 member limit in the Club, and again, we appreciate your patience and support. It won't be forever!
We are also aware that some establishments in town are not following these rules - it's not a choice to do so - these are Government-mandated rules at Alert Level 2 and we are happy and secure in the knowledge that we are doing  it right,  following the rules and keeping our staff and members as safe as we can.

As another reminder, here are the rules around how we're operating for now.
Alert Level 2 - we're still operating the same way as the last couple of weeks, so expect to scan and sign in when you get here please.
 - Please sign in when you arrive (if you've got the COVID tracer app on your cellphone then please scan that as you come in, but that's for your records - we still require you to sign our contact tracing register please).
 - You'll be seated at a table when you arrive and be assigned a wait person - this lovely person will bring you your food and drinks - so sit back and enjoy!
 - You may leave your table to head out to the smokers' area, to use the bathroom of course and to head up to the bar to pay just before you leave.
 - Wash hands, sanitise, and as much as we love you all - please don't visit if you or anyone in your immediate bubble is ill.

Father's Day - Sunday 6th September

We're having a special Father's Day menu in our restaurant on Sunday evening from 5:30pm - all dads dining will receive a free drink. Check out our special Father's Day menu details further along in our restaurant section.
Note - only the special Father's Day menu and the kids' menu will be available on Sunday, not our usual range of a la carte menus. It's extremely delicious though and we're sure everyone will find something to their taste.

Bookings are essential please - please book at the restaurant or bar.

Birthday Drinks

Well would you look at that? September already! If you were born in this lovely spring month please enjoy a birthday drinkie on us - just ask at the bar.

Membership Cards - all done. Phew!
  - If you're an existing member and you've renewed your membership by paying your subscription then your card is in the boxes at the sign in table - please ask the person manning the table to get it for you.
 -  If you've not paid, then I haven't printed your card yet. You're very welcome to pay at the bar - they'll let me know and I'll print your card the next time I'm at the Club.
 -  If you've asked me to post your card out, then you have either just received it or will be about to receive it in the mail. We know it can take a while sometimes for the post to get there!
 - If you're a brand new member, then I will post your card out  - there's a letter and a Member Handbook that we like to give you when you're new, so it's easier to post all of that out in one go.

Questions? Drop me a line at office@ctclubrotorua.co.nz attention Sarah.

Motorsports Car Sales Courtesy Van

Our van is still be operating at Alert Level 2 with the following conditions:
Please don't sit in the passenger seat beside the driver.
We can have a maximum of 6 passengers in the van in any one trip - anyone you sit beside must be part of your immediate bubble.
Please use the hand sanitiser inside the van.
Please don't use the van / come to the Club if you're feeling unwell.

Our van operates
Thursday to Sunday from 3:00pm.
Please continue to give us plenty of notice if you can that you'd like a pick up on these days - give us a call on 3478301 during opening hours, go through to the bar and book your pick up time. To get home again, we make regular announcements throughout the night when the van is leaving shortly, so you just need to get yourself out into the foyer and hop on.
For new members who don't know about this - this is a free service but we would appreciate it if you could drop a donation in the box on the bar. Thank you!

Spring has Sprung!

And isn't it lovely? If anyone has wandered through the Tree Trust or any other picturesque areas lately please feel free to share your pics with us - email to the office at office@ctclubrotorua.co.nz attention Sarah, and I can include them in a future newsletter. Here's a little offering from the Tree Trust a couple of weeks ago.

Some of you may know that our President (and his First Lady!) are currently on a jaunt around the South Island. Gordon and Valerie have kindly sent this gorgeous photo to share with you all.
