Dear <<First Name>>,

Over the last 12 years, our New Deac Week traditions have included the offering of a food-filled event called “The Taste of Winston-Salem.” Due to a variety of COVID-19 related restrictions, we were not able to host this traditionally well-attended event which offered a “taste” of the amazing food Winston-Salem has to offer from over 30 local restaurants. We were sad to learn that several of the restaurants that have traditionally supported this event have now made the difficult decision to close due to the financial impacts of COVID-19.

We have recently been in touch with these restaurant partners to share our excitement about being able to support them virtually by getting their information into your hands. As you can see from the photos on this email, Winston-Salem has some fantastic eats, and we hope that you will help by supporting our local restaurant community.

A folder of special offers and menus by participating restaurants can be found here. The list of participating restaurants can be found here. Access to this information is set to your WFU email account. Be sure that you are using your WFU email credentials.

I would like to give a special shout out and thank you to Ellie Bruggen (‘20), Fellow for the Office of the Dean of the College, for her incredible efforts in pulling this information together on your behalf.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Module II: Fall the Forest is now officially available to you. As a reminder, you are required to complete this module no later than Thursday, October 1st.
