The Primary Election is NEXT WEEK!
You can view a sample Democratic ballot and find links to the contested races and many other candidates on the Windems website 2020 Candidates page. There are lots of great Democratic candidates up and down the ballot.
If you ARE REGISTERED TO VOTE, you can vote in person or absentee. To vote Absentee, go to the Town Clerk's office to file the request form, get your Sept 8th ballot, fill it out there and hand it back to the Town Clerk. Mailing at this late date is risky in terms of potential mail delays. If you voted Absentee, check the status of your ballot HERE. Be sure it was received and will be counted.
If you are NOT REGISTERED TO VOTE, today (Wed, Sept 2) is the last day to register before the Sept 8th election. Town Clerk hours are 9-4, or visit the Supervisors of the Checklist at 7pm at Town Hall at their 7:00pm meeting. You may also register at the polls on election day, DESPITE what President Trump said. In any case, you will need to prove identity, age, residency and citizenship. Call the Town Clerk with questions or visit the Town Clerk Voter Information page. If you are missing documentation you can still vote at the polls, you must sign an affidavit which gives you time to bring the proper items into the Town Clerk after the election.
