Dear Reader,

In this issue we bring updates about new research from our Biotechnology team - that works on research to address issues related to climate change and increasing soil salinity. Out now, published research from a multi-country partnership studying salt tolerance in a unique wild rice species. Also published a new study on community response to disasters. As the nation mourns the passing away of former President Shri Pranab Mukherjee, we also recall his direction to the scientific community.
