Conservative Texas, Green Energy & Massive Benefits
Energy efficiency and renewables go hand in hand with regards to job and career creation.  For many areas in Texas, the push for renewables has led to stronger employment opportunities and more importantly, economic stability for hundreds and thousands of Texans and their families.  From an increase in the median family income to more discretionary spending for these families, it is a fact that renewables have helped out in numerous economic ways.

As Texas efforts to alleviate the hardships and pains caused by the COVID19 pandemic, the broader energy efficiency career landscape, which includes renewables, could be an important component to helping our state come out of the job and economic crisis that is present and will loom.  For many, a change or shift in career opportunities is a welcome development as the oil and gas industry struggles to regain their footing across much of West Texas.  Renewables continue to grow, and by all indications will continue their upward trajectory as our reliance on fossil fuels to power our homes and offices becomes minimized.

It's not jobs that are being created, it is careers and family financial stability that will have long lasting impacts on the wind and sun swept plains of Texas as we move deeper into the 21st century.

Earning the Healthy Housing Principles (HHP) Certificate of Knowledge proves your knowledge of how the different components of a home interact to affect occupant health.
As we all continue to do our part to help stop the spread of COVID, the health of homes, as well as efficiency, is becoming a more relevant topic.  BPI, the Building Performance Institute, is helping to shed light on this issue, by announcing their Healthy Housing Principles Certificate of Knowledge and reference guide.  Based on eight principals for a healthy and energy efficient home, this guide is helping to drive conversations around not only efficiency, but the greater discussions involving health and safety for those most at risk.  Find out more about the intersection of health and efficiency here:
