SEWIST SPOTLIGHT: MEET ELODIE!
When we were searching for our muse for our latest pattern, we didn’t need to look very far. Almost immediately we realized the wrap dress queen (as we’ve dubbed her) was right under our noses. We had been paying attention to a lot of the beautiful makes that Elodie (@Elodieblueberry) was turning out in France and featuring on her delightful insta feed and beautiful blog. She is a master of many crafty passions, and I love how she brings the same feminine softness, unique colour palette and delicate details to all of her projects, regardless of the medium. Her aesthetic is so pretty and inviting, and I’m so happy she agreed to be our inspiration for the Elodie Wrapdress (probably our prettiest pattern yet!) So without further ado, let’s meet Elodie!

Did you have a gateway person or experience that brought you to sewing?
My grandmother is a very crafty person, she used to knit, crochet and sew a lot (and she’s also a perfect cook!). Her activity has always given me the wish to do the same myself. But I never really learned from her. When I discovered the social community around sewing it was a true revelation.
What was the first thing you remember wanting to sew?
I’ve always been a crafty person, and when my daughter was 1 year old, I decided I would sew a blanket for her. As I wanted to do it all by myself and didn’t take a sewing class before I started, it was really awful… but I didn’t get discouraged and kept on sewing!
