City of South Lake Tahoe Mask Mandate

Effective August 21, 2020, the City of South Lake Tahoe will begin enforcing the statewide mask mandate. Fines of up to $500 for businesses and up to $100 for people failing to wear a mask in public.

Update on Echo Summit Bridge Replacement 

September’s resumption of the U.S. Highway 50 Echo Summit Bridge Project will replace the bridge to meet current structural safety standards. Full closure of U.S Highway 50 over Echo Summit is scheduled for September 18 – October 2, 2020.
