Global Internship Program
IP Induction Ceremony 2020!

Join to us for the IP social event of the semester! Recognize our new first year IP students and get to know other IP students in your major and college (ALL IP students invited!). The 2020 Induction Ceremony is on Thursday, Sept. 24th from 5:15 - 6:30 PM and will be held virtually. Link will be provided after you RSVP. Please RSVP by Tuesday, Sept. 22nd
Workshop: The IP for Networking and Interviews

Have you gone abroad one or more times for the IP already? This is the workshop for you! Learn how to communicate the value of the International Plan in networking and interview settings, and get ready for the all-majors career fair on Sept. 21st and 22nd

ICEBERG Workshop Series

Deadline: September 13th

NEW this fall: ICEBERG Intercultural Workshop Series! In this 3 part virtual program, participants will learn about culture, how we perceive it, and how to navigate intercultural differences. Topics can be applied to both professional and personal situations. After participating in all three workshops, you will gain a blockchain credential to certify your participation.

Fall Graduate Deadlines
  1. Degree Designation Form: Graduating this fall? Make sure your diploma shows that you have completed the International Plan. Submit your Degree Designation Form to the IP Manager, Ilana (ilana@oie.gatech.edu), by Friday, Sept. 27th. Please review the information on the link above and bring the completed form to the appointment.
  2. Language Proficiency Distinction: If pursuing the Language Proficiency Distinction, arrange to take the Oral Proficiency Test (ACTFL / OPI). Email Ilana ASAP to express interest in taking it this semester.

This information session that will cover things student should know when looking at study abroad, scholarships opportunities (both local and national), how to craft a competitive application, and non-traditional ways of raising money for an experience abroad. 

Gilman Scholarship Info Session: Friday, Sept. 18th, 3 - 4 PM

The Gilman International Scholarship, a national scholarship for students who receive federal Pell grants, aims to diversify the pool of students who study abroad and the countries and regions where they go. OIE is hosting a Gilman workshop to share information about the program, tips on how to craft a competitive application, and offer application feedback.
