Email Update from Rueben Berg
This is an email update from Rueben Berg, elected representative for the Metropolitan Region of the First Peoples' Assembly of Victoria (FPAV). The FPAV is the elected voice for Aboriginal people and communities in future Treaty discussions.
At the end of August the FPAV had an Assembly Chamber Meeting. You should be able to find the official August Assembly Chamber Communique here very shortly. Some of the key decisions and outcomes were the finalisation of the Interim Dispute Resolution process, and that the FPAV Board are to prepare a proposal regarding the Assembly's view on January 26. You can view parts of the Assembly Chamber meeting here: https://www.facebook.com/firstpeoplesvic/videos
Thanks to all those who tuned into my discussion with Tracey Evans last week which is available on YouTube. This month I am hosting another Live Treaty Discussion, this time with Matthew Burns, on Wednesday 9 September from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. We will discuss the outcomes of the recent Assembly Chamber, the next steps for the FPAV, and answer community questions.
This will be streaming live on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCv8LW-KlaXkBq-T6lADaQuQ
