Hello, I hope you are well. It is September already and so far it has been a warm and sunny month! With a new school year beginning the signs are clear that autumn is just around the corner. Always a colourful time of year in the forest this Autumn blog is about Shinrin-yoku or 'forest bathing'.... and the return of the 'Last Minute List' more information about this below.

Last Minute List

Some of you may remember that I had something called the ‘last minute list’ a couple of years ago. I work with an ‘appointment only’ system but the current climate of quarantine, self- isolation and possible C-19 infection all mean clients may need to cancel their appointment at short notice. This means I may have unexpected free time during my day.

This is how it works:
  1. You sign up to be included in the Last Minute List texts.
  2. On the day I have a free slot I will send everyone a text with the time slot available for a treatment.
  3. The first person to respond will be given the appointment.
  4. I will send a second text to let everyone know the slot has been taken.
This will be done in a way that means everyone's privacy is respected and no one will be able to veiw the list of participants or their response.

Add Me to the Last Minute List
                                           Forest Bathing
I think we will all agree that being told to stay indoors during ‘lockdown’ was something everyone found challenging. There has been a alot of research into how our bodies respond to being in nature. Intuitively we feel good when we are in a natural environment and we now have scientific evidence that shows being in a natural environment has a positive effect on our wellbeing.

If you live in West Essex where we have Epping Forest on our doorstep you may already enjoy a walk in the woods, however if you need encouragement to leave your comfy sofa keep reading as I have some facts that may convince you.

Your Safety

To ensure I keep you as safe as possible from the risk of transmission of C-19
  •  My treatment room has a large window and I ventilate my room in between treatments.
  •  I sanitise all equipment, surfaces and door handles.
  • Ensure the treatment table and it's coverings have been sanitised and changed.
  • Wear a face covering myself during your treatment.
  • Wear a tabard or apron which can be changed in between clients.
  • Ask that you bring your own face cloths or sponges for facials - I have some you may buy if you wish.
  • Ask that if you think you may have C-19 or been exposed to the virus to cancel you appointment. I no longer charge a cancellation fee.
  • Ask that you wear a face covering when coming into the building and during the treatment if you are coming for craniosacral therapy.
The last thing I want to do is send unwanted emails!
If you are receiving my newsletter for the first time it is because you opted in to receive them when you filled in my consultation form. If you do not wish to receive any in future you may unsubscribe at the bottom of this email.
Keep well and see you soon!
