Winnetka's Connection To Village Businesses and Events
Winnetka Approves $400,000 to Help Small Businesses During COVID-19 Crisis
The Village values small businesses and understands the financial burden they have experienced as a result of COVID-19. In response to this, the Village has established a sales tax rebate economic relief program to provide funds to businesses that have suffered economic loss from the pandemic. The program will distribute a portion of the Village’s share of municipal sales tax received in 2019 to eligible local businesses, supplying them with immediate cash for short-term financial operational needs, including payroll, payment to suppliers, payment to service providers, or payment of rent and utilities.

Rebates will be issued as follows, and the total amount of the rebate program will not exceed $400,000:

Interested businesses can visit the Village's website to learn more, review the requirements of the rebate program, and download an application. Please email the Village with additional questions or comments. The deadline to apply is December 1, 2020.
