"Let all that you do be done in love." - 1 Corinthians 16:14
Dear Annunciation Families,

We had a great first week.  Your children have been a delight to get to know and it is wonderful to have students back in our hallways and classrooms.  I am happy to report that after Monday morning's rain, we have had beautiful weather that has allowed us to use our outdoor learning spaces as well as allowing our windows to be wide open.  I am also happy to report that both our drop-off and pick-up times have improved.  As a matter of fact, thanks to some brainstorming by our staff, we have come up with a shared document that allows us display to carpool numbers in real-time.  Thank you to all our families for your patience and support this week.

Kari Zobel,
Principal

2019-20 Yearbook Update
Annunciation is still waiting for the 2019-20 yearbooks to be delivered.  Lifetouch experienced a significant production delay over the past 6 months due to COVID.  Please rest assured that our yearbooks from last year are in production and we will notify families as soon as they are delivered and ready for pick up!

Less common symptoms:
Have just one? Monitor symptom progression
Have two symptoms? Stay home

-sore throat, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, chills, muscle pain, excessive fatigue, now onset of severe headache or new onset of nasal congestion or runny nose

If any of these symptoms are present, please notify our school nurse at nurse@annunciationmsp.org

Please use this email to also report any school absences.
What We Learned This Week:
  • Pack a back-up mask for your child.
  • Remind your child about social distancing and safe hand washing.
  • Make sure your child knows not to share any food or drink items.
  • Touch base with your child about how they are feeling about being back in school and COVID-19.
BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL UPDATES
PRINT THE CARPOOL MAP
Drop-off & Pick-up:

* PLEASE DO NOT ENTER HARRIET AVE VIA 55TH STREET, USE 56TH OR 57TH TO MAKE CARPOOL RUN SMOOTHLY*

Morning Drop Off Window is 7:45-8:15

(School starts at 8am, there is a 15 minute "grace period" before a student is considered tardy.)
No waiting in the foyer prior to 7:45. We are using carpool drop off only and no parents will be allowed in the building. Please use your designated grade doors to help us ease the traffic flow in the halls and on the stairs. This includes those biking or walking to school.

Morning drop off with be as follows to help with traffic flow due to class sizes:

  • K,1st & 3rd: Doors on the EAST side of the school by the first grade classrooms
  • 2nd, 4th & 5th: Foyer doors by the REAR parking lot near the playground
  • Middle School: Doors on the WEST side of school by the middle school classrooms

Afternoon Pick Up is 2:45
No walk ups. Bikers, walkers and extended day kids will be dismissed first. Please display your carpool number in your car window.  The students will be held in their classrooms until their number is called on the intercom. Please make sure your child knows the number or has it on their backpack. The teachers will also have a list. This will allow us to call all children in a family down all at once. If you are picking up another family’s children, please display their number in your car also.

Patrol Help Needed

We are in need of 6th graders to help train our new fifth graders on the following days:

  • Tuesday, Sept. 8
  • Wednesday, Sept. 9
  • Thursday, Sept. 10
  • Friday, Sept. 11

It would be greatly appreciated! We will not have patrols on the first day. Please email and indicate if they will come in the morning or afternoon.

We will notify the middle school teachers so that your child is not counted as tardy. Have them come to the third floor to get vests and flags just as they did last year.

Thanks so much,
Mikayla Pellegrene
