TO THE EDITOR: The goal of this communication is to provide clinicians and behavioral scientists with a scoping perspective on the diverse array of effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the United States. It is our hope that this will stimulate subsequent scientific and advocacy efforts to ameliorate the disproportionate burden of the pandemic on people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. About the Chattanooga Autism Center
The Chattanooga Autism Center is a parent and advocate driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides lifespan support and services for people with Autism Spectrum Disorders and for their families and also serves as an advocacy resource that builds awareness about autism in the region. Chattanooga Autism Center is also a research partner of the Center for START Services and is currently collaborating with CSS researchers on a project funded in part by the National Research Consortium on MHIDD.
