Documentary makers, impact producers, and social change strategists are adapting to the COVID-19 pandemic. The global shutdown provides obvious hardships and constraints, but it also provides opportunities for learning and brushing up on the best of digital activism and strategic communication strategy for our sector.

With this in mind, we at the Center for Media & Social Impact (Caty Borum Chattoo and producer Jordana Jason) put our heads together with Together Films (Sarah Mosses and Alana Jeffery), joined by impact strategist and field-builder Sahar Driver, to collaborate with brilliant colleagues from related sectors to create a free masterclass webinar series for documentary impact producers and change-makers. We are so thrilled to invite you to participate!

The 2020 Digital Power series, powered by Perspective Fund, features top-level digital and social media strategic communication professionals. They will share their best knowledge, tips, and tools of their trades and networks with the documentary and social impact community at a time when impact producers are reimagining their engagement for digital spaces. This webinar series focuses on digital and social media strategy and tactics and analytics, sharing expertise from various sectors of strategic communication (movement-building, corporate marketing, entertainment industry digital marketing) with the documentary community. This series further builds on the Digital Perspectives webinar led by Together Films that guided campaigns on how to screen films online, to further activate audiences for impact online.

The 90-minute 8-part series launches on September 28 and runs through November 23 (skipping the U.S. election week), Mondays from 1-2:30 p.m. EST. For any questions, please email: cmsiwebinars@gmail.com

How it works: 50 minutes of presentation from that week’s guest speakers, plus a 40-minute interactive Q&A session with participants. To participate, please sign up for each free class using the links below. Sign up for as many classes as you would like.
