 Second Mile Giving
“Second-mile giving” refers to an extra offering toward a special cause. Our second mile giving for September goes to PEP Housing. PEP Housing is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to providing seniors with limited income access to affordable quality housing with supportive services and advocacy. Celebrating 42 years of service this year, PEP Housing began as a small, all-volunteer organization formed by dedicated local civic leaders and clergy. Now, over 700 seniors reside in 19 beautiful PEP Housing communities widely recognized for excellence in eco-friendly development and service-enriched programs. Today, the demand continues to grow, and PEP Housing responds with several other projects in pre-development.
 Offering can be given through Tithe.Ly or mailed to the Church Office at 504 Baker St.

I am looking for someone to help me with David’s Occupational/Physical Therapy on the days he does not have scheduled therapy from the agency. I am requesting a strong person who has a flexible schedule. A college student in Health Sciences would work well, or anyone who is willing to learn the routines. You will be compensated. “God’s work. Our hands.” Sunday, September 13
 “God’s work. Our hands.” Sunday is September 13. This day is an opportunity to celebrate who we are as the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America – one church, freed in Christ to serve and love our neighbor. While this year will look different with social distancing, there are still many ways we can serve our neighbors on this day.
Some examples for service activities are; doing yard work or outside home repairs for those who need the help, write cards for those in the military, emergency and healthcare workers, call or write letters to isolated seniors or high risk individuals. Take a picture of your service activity and email it to the office for possible use in one of our worship services!

Interested in giving flowers in celebration, honor or memory of a loved one or event? Contact Erin with your preferred date. Flowers can come from a garden, florist or grocery store. Flowers should be delivered in two vases/baskets to the office by 3:00 p.m. Wednesdays, which will be returned to you. Need vases? That can be arranged.

Custodian Needed!
We are again in need of a custodian. If you know someone who might be interested please contact the church office or direct them to our Jobs Page. This part time position will provide janitorial services for common areas for the entire facility, with a particular emphasis on maintaining preschool areas in a clean and sanitary condition. Performing maintenance, such as changing light bulbs and restocking bathrooms, is also required, as is moving heavy tables.
