Ministry Training at St Matthew's
"And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others." 2 Timothy 2:2

This verse is at the heart of St Matthew's commitment to ministry training. Part of our mission of making disciples together involves entrusting the gospel message to those who will teach and lead disciple-making ministries into the future.

Last Sunday we heard from Nic Wood, our 2021 ministry training candidate, about his journey towards undertaking a ministry apprenticeship at St Matthew's. It's tremendously exciting to see Nic, along with a number of others, considering how they might equip themselves to be godly and faithful gospel workers.

Next year will also mark a new chapter in St Matthew's ministry training program as we begin coordinating our apprenticeships through the Ministry Training Strategy (MTS). This gives us access to a new range of training resources as well as making all financial giving towards our apprenticeships tax-deductible.

If you would like to give towards the raising up of future gospel workers at St Matthew's, contributions can be made by clicking the Ministry Training button below.

Memorial Service for Doug Cordell

There was a private service for Doug in ApriI and now Susan and her girls would like to have a memorial service which they can invite others along to. If you would like to come along to this service, you are most welcome. Afternoon tea will be served afterwards in the hall.
St Matthew's Spring Picnic
Sunday 18th October, 12pm at Lake Jualbup
A spring picnic is a perfect way to celebrate the end of winter with the St Matt's family. Great chance to meet new friends and catch up with old ones. Join us at Lake Jualbup from 12pm on October 18. BYO picnic lunch and blanket.
Holiday Program
During the Sundays of the school holidays, students in high school and children in Years 4, 5, and 6 join in the main service with their parents. When you RSVP for a Sunday morning service during the school holidays, please include high school students and children in Years 4, 5, and 6 in the total number of adults you are RSVPing for. Creche, Wombats, and a holiday program for children from PrePrimary to Year 3 will all be offered during the school holidays.
Extra seating available at all services
In order to accommodate as many people as we can at our two morning services, we are trialling the use of another small office space as an overflow, which will be able to accommodate another 21 persons.  The additional seats will be listed as part of the overall availability and seating will be allocated as people arrive.  The overflow space will have the service "livestreamed" on a TV screen.  Welcomers will direct you to the overflow areas once maximum accommodation has been reached in the auditorium.

We would also like to let you know that as we are able to use the hall as an overflow space for 30-50 persons at the 4:30pm and 6:30pm services, we no longer require RSVPs for either of these services.  Both services have space available, so do consider choosing either of those services for the Sundays you are unable to get into your morning service of choice, or as an alternative until restrictions ease.  Checking In is still required.

Don't forget, if your service of choice is booked out for this week, you can book ahead for next Sunday's service on the same booking page. Just scroll down on the RSVP form to see what is available to you and don't forget to RSVP today!
