Zooming with the Stars

Last year, Virginia reversed course from a supermajority GOP legislature to one that is 55% Democratic, and finally was able to focus on education, climate change, and health care access instead of divisive social issues. Want to find out how they did it while helping us get Democrats elected to the Idaho legislature? We are holding a special online event featuring two very special guests and we want you to join us!

Virginia Delegate Danica Roem led the charge when, as America’s first transgender legislator, she defeated a 25-year GOP incumbent and helped land Virginia Democratic control for the first time in 26 years. Did I mention she also used to play in a metal band? She is seriously cool and is very hard to land as a speaker (The DNC actually called and asked how we managed it!).  But we booked her for our Zooming with the Stars event at 6 pm next Thursday, Sept. 24, and she’ll even be doing Q and A with participants. Don’t miss this chance to learn how they did it in Virginia and how we can do it here!

Not only that, but internationally acclaimed jazz musician Curtis Stigers will be giving a special performance during the event. You won’t want to miss this evening of music, hope, and excitement!

All of the proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to helping elect Democrats in battleground districts in Idaho this November. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to a great cause that will help make Idaho a better place AND watch two incredible stars in one night!

ABSENTEE BALLOTS WILL BEGIN MAILING ON OCTOBER 5
If you request an absentee ballot after the first batch goes out, expect about 7-10 days until you get your ballot.

A NOTE ABOUT THE POLLS
Due to Covid19 and the possible lack of poll workers, there may be fewer polling locations this year.  That's why I'm voting ABSENTEE this year. The Clerks have the authority to condense polls so your district may have fewer polling places.

ADA COUNTY EARLY VOTING
In Ada County, ahead of each election, we have several early voting locations. Voters may choose to cast their ballot at any of the available locations, regardless of where they live in the county. Early voting locations typically open 15 to 22-days prior to the election and close four-days before the election. Click on this link to identify early voting locations in Ada County.

If you have any questions, call your county clerk.
