Hello <<First Name>>,
I'm Paul Sheehan, the DARPA Program Manager heading the AI Automation of Point-of-Care Ultrasound Incubator.
At DARPA, I manage the Biological Control, Friend or Foe, Bioelectronics for Tissue Regeneration (BETR), and ADvanced Acclimation and Protection Tool for Environmental Readiness (ADAPTER) programs.
My work focuses on new nanoscale methods for biological sensing that could be coupled with advanced engineering and electronics. My interests include development of bioassays, battlefield medicine, augmentation of warfighter performance, machine learning, and conversion between electronic and biochemical signals.
My intent for the AI Automation of Point-of-Care Ultrasound Incubator is to discuss AI techniques that require very minimal labeled training data and incorporate human domain expertise, physics constraints, and modular design to automate ultrasound interpretation.
Tomorrow, I'm hosting an Ask Me Anything (details below). Looking forward to seeing your contributions.
Kind regards,
Paul

Polyplexus hosts an online community focused on exploring cross-disciplinary science questions. The platform accelerates access to scientific evidence, hypothesis development, research proposal generation and sponsor engagement. Developed for scientific researchers, research sponsors, and the curious, Polyplexus reinvents the social platform by advancing evidence-based conversations, focusing the discussion through the lens of what we already know - in the pursuit of what we might discover. An open, public platform, Polyplexus is currently in development with founding sponsor DARPA.
