Dear all,

1 Our new world
2 Online meditation retreats
3 Sessions in Montreal and online

1 Our new world

I have not been in touch for a while. I hope this newsletter finds you and your family and friends well. Our world has changed radically with covid. It's become very unpredictable, and it's asking a lot from all of us in terms of adjusting to a new reality. More adjustments may be needed as covid cases are on the rise again. Surprisingly, my own world hasn't changed all that much, as I am mostly working online these days, and the garden is beckoning no matter what else is happening. In these late summer/early fall days, it's a source of magnificent abundance which never ceases to touch my heart and provides healthy food for months.

2 Online meditation retreats
One thing that has been constant over the last few months is the 2-hour online meditation retreat that has replaced the in person retreat day in NDG. It's been very helpful and supportive to those who participated. If you haven't participated yet, I'd like to encourage you to try it out. In these strange times, we can find new ways to support ourselves, and you don't have to be a regular meditator in order to participate in one of the online meditation retreats. The next online meditation retreat will be on Saturday, 3 October 2020, 10am to 12 noon. Participating in a retreat means entering a space of silence and deep rest,
a time of connecting with yourself, and finding your way back to the peace, love and joy that you are.

How does this work?
Upon registering, you will get a zoom link for the retreat and suggestions for how to set yourself up for it. The format of the retreat is as follows: We 'check in' at the beginning so as to arrive with each other and in the online space. I do some chanting to lead into the meditation. We do at least two periods of meditation, usually including a heart meditation. There is always space for questions or sharing either between the meditations or at the end. Retreats unfold very organically as we go along.

Registration
You can register for the retreat day
  • by sending an interac or etransfer payment to grace@gracebubeck.com of the registration fee ($20), with a note that you're registering for the retreat.
  • by going to the meditation page on my website and paying the registration fee of $20.

3 Sessions in Montreal and online
I am currently doing home visits in Montreal, and I also do sessions online on skype or by phone. I may need to stop the home visits should Montreal move to red alert, but for now I handle requests on a wait-and-see basis. Also, after more years than I can remember at the same fee level, my fees are going up to $90 for a one-hour session online and on the phone, with home visits going up to $110. If the covid situation has left you with less income, I am open to reducing my fee to a level that is feasible for you.
