Brought to tears...

As the FSA Marketing Consultant I have been blessed by helping the organization in a small, but fulfilling way. To the best of my ability I provide advice and support on marketing, social media and, occasionally, fundraising.

Recently I attended a food group at the
Walton Village Adventure Center to meet some of the members and take a few pictures. While I was there, I sat down and had several inspiring conversations with various participants. All seemed to be coping with both the pandemic and the economy in better spirits than I ever could have imagined.

One member in particular, Ms. Keneisha Brown, truly changed my perspective.

I was tasked with asking participants difficult questions and braced myself for resistance from people who could have reason to be hard and bitter. What I found was quite the opposite. Within a few short minutes of meeting Keneisha I found myself in tears as she provided me with comfort and wisdom beyond her years.

Keneisha reminded me that life is tough, but embracing FAITH and finding STRENGTH in a supportive COMMUNITY will lift us from the darkness we may feel in a year fraught with fear and uncertainty. Walk with FAITH, and you become FAITH, indeed.

Please take one minute to listen to Keneisha, in her own words. Perhaps her utter reliance on faith will move you to tears, as it did me.

Respectfully,
Brin Black

A Letter for the FSA Marketing Professional
Meet Keneisha...

"Walk with FAITH, you become FAITH"
In late spring FSA was in panic mode. The crucial component to delivering food is a refrigerated food truck, and the FSA truck was on its last legs. The 2001 truck had over 192,000 miles. Repair bills were starting to mount and parts were no longer available for the refrigeration control unit, etc... FSA needed a new truck!

FSA asked the community, current donors and Board members to donate and donate they did! The "No Truck, No Food" Capital Campaign was a HUGE success. Check social media as we unveil the beautiful new-to-us truck soon!
A HUGE thank you to the many companies and individuals that contributed to the #NoTruckNoFoodCampaign. A special thanks to iSolved for helping to provide some crucial dollars. iSolved has provided pro bono payroll services to FSA from our founding in 2012. They are unfailingly accurate, pleasant and professional, treating FSA just as they would any other customer. Now, on top of providing payroll processing, they have even helped us buy a truck!

Save the date

December 1st, 2020 will be the ninth GAgives Day. The goal is simple: encourage Georgians to connect with and donate to nonprofits for the largest day of giving in our state. Join us!

Save the date and please...with COVID causing such an increased need for food...plan now to donate to FSA through GAgives.

FSA is motivated by community members like Shari Bailey Martin, President and CEO of
Cobb Community Foundation!

FSA proudly honored Shari for Exemplary Leadership Uniting Cobb in Pandemic Crisis.

Thanks for all you do to serve Cobb County!
