Tricoya, a sustainable compressed fibre board panel, produced using acetylated, sustainably sourced wood chips, a panel that can be used outdoors. It is so good in fact, we offer a 25 year warranty when in contact with the ground, or a 50 year warranty for above ground exterior applications. It can be drilled, routered, laser cut or profiled and finished with paint, or stain, or even left uncoated to naturally weather off over time.
The uses are limited only by your imagination, we see a real potential for decorative façade screens, sun shading or feature wall designs. See the sample below showing a laser cut 6mm panel finished with Resene Faux Rust effect paint, emulating a rusted steel plate. It can be stained with Resene Woodsman (solvent based) as well as painted and we recommend Resene True Prime as primer and undercoat for paint finish.
