Series on Health Equity Seeks Solutions to Eliminate Disparities

NashvilleHealth is partnering with the Nashville Health Care Council to present “Conversations on Health Equity and Action to Eliminate Disparities,” a three-part series exploring racial inequities in health care and solutions to eliminate them.

Moderated by NashvilleHealth Chairman Bill Frist, M.D., the virtual conversations feature national experts in public health and health care. The first conversation featured Cara V. James, Ph.D., president and CEO, Grantmakers In Health; and Andrea D. Willis, M.D., senior vice president and chief medical officer, BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee. View it here.

The second part of the series will feature U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams, M.D., M.P.H. on Sept. 30.

Tracking COVID in Tennessee

Each day, the Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) releases figures tracking the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in each county and statewide. In an effort to raise awareness about these figures and understand how infection rates are changing, NashvilleHealth shares tracking updates and insights based on TDH data.

Data acquired from the
TDH Website, as of September 14 analyzed by Sajid Khan, Change Healthcare and NashvilleHealth Board.
