Highways.Today Newsletter

17 September 2020

Welcome to another Highways.Today newsletter!

The last couple of weeks have kept me busy attending virtual conferences, including The Cat Live Expo, Move America, Move Asia, Spark Energy, DJI Airworks, and the ARC India Virtual Forum.

It is amazing how fast technology is advancing with Lidar and scanning technologies driving the move to digitalisation, digital twins, MaaS and mobility. Automated construction equipment is taking major strides, soon taking over quarries, then moving out onto the road and into building sites.

I used to think it would be decades before we saw all these advances become reality, but we are literally talking years.

Thanks again and stay safe.
