Resting in the Lord

It's strange to think that we left Honduras just last month. There have been several days where I said to Ellen something like, 'I'm finally feeling like the stress is letting down.' Once I realized that I've said that several times it finally dawned on me just how much I had let the stress build up. I think the photo above of us in the airport ready to leave Honduras tells the story as I sat down at the gate and just crashed!
Our town in Honduras remains in phase zero of the five phase program to reopen. We know from our ministry partners there that people are out more but the official position is that people only have one day in fourteen to be out of the house to shop and do other errands. We are extremely thankful to be in the states and able to unwind.
While we are here I have already started putting some of my old government skills to use by working on updating the Equip policy manual. This is a pretty huge work but I'm excited that I've been invited to continue ministry work in this way.
We will also be co-leading the Community Health Evangelism course being held at Equip headquarters in Marion, NC, at the end of this month.
Our plans also include squeezing in some time with the gran-kiddos and being with Ellen's mom. Please keep us in your prayers as we navigate ministry from state side.

The Moringa Thrives!

Before we left last month we harvested all the Moringa leaves and cut the trees down to 3 feet (below left pic). Today that same group has sprung back up and is near ready to harvest once again (below right)!!

Multi-Crops from Moringa

Almost everything about the Moringa is edible! The below left photo is of the dried leaves which can be ground to add to both human and animal food. The right photo shows how large the seed pods have grown and many people eat the seeds. The seed pods themselves are edible when they are smaller! Even the flowers are used to make tea!
