The scenes from our neighboring communities in Alabama and Florida have left us with heavy hearts again. Today, many are navigating a difficult reality brought on by a very unpredictable storm. Our region is no stranger to the devastating impacts a hurricane can bring. As neighbors, we will aid in the recovery efforts of our Gulf region.
On behalf of the team at Coastal Mississippi and our Board of Commissioners, I extend many thanks to our emergency management representatives from all three coastal counties and the State of Mississippi who kept our industry informed about what to anticipate from Hurricane Sally. In addition, the efforts coordinated by the Harrison County Emergency Management Agency - County/Cities and ESF Partners Task Force were incredibly helpful as we anticipated the storm's potential.
Although we know our area was tested by the storm, we resumed normal marketing and communications activities today, excluding targeting to those in the affected areas. As always, we encourage you to follow the appropriate COVID-19 safety guidelines as we continue to welcome visitors to The Secret Coast.
