These webinars were designed by the IBP Network and the Ouagadougou Partnership in response to a growing need to learn more about High Impact Practices (HIPs) through interventions that can optimize investments in family planning. / Ces webinaires ont été conçu par Le Réseau IBP et Le Partenariat de Ouagadougou en réponse à un besoin croissant de mieux connaître les pratiques à haut impact (PHI) à travers des interventions qui peuvent optimiser les investissements dans la planification familiale.
Moderators from Pathfinder and the MOH Togo introduced the Community Group Engagement webinar featuring presenters from Breakthrough Action, Ministry of Health Benin, Institute of Reproductive Health/Mali, and Handarey Mali. Presenters outlined the CGE strategic planning guide and the implementation of Tékponon Kiuagou in Bénin and Mali, and the Handarey approach in Mali.
Moderated by representatives from the Ouagadougou Partnership and Pathfinder International/Evidence to Action, the Postabortion Family Planning webinar included an overview of the brief, the global context presented by WHO/Africa Regional Bureau, and country examples from Côte d’Ivoire presented by the Directorate of the National Mother and Child Program (Direction de Coordination du Programme National de Santé de la Mère et de l’Enfant), and IntraHealth International/Sénégal, the latter program specifically adjusted to include elements of care for adolescents and youth.
Task Sharing Family Planning Services to Increase Health Workforce Efficiency and Expand Access (August 2020 – recording/slides) Presenters by representatives from Abt Associates and FHI 360 provided an overview of task sharing and the task sharing strategic planning guide. PSI presented the application of the guide to inform its approach to mobile outreach in rural Niger. IntraHealth highlighted three task sharing approaches used in South Sudan which resulted in improved access to both an increased number of clients served, especially youth, as well as an expansion in the mix of voluntary family planning methods offered.
