Wisconsin employee collection event promotion

Cascade is excited to announce a new promotion for our Wisconsin business and institutional customers. Because of our partnership with various electronics manufacturers, we are opening up more affordable options to recycle your employees' household electronics with Cascade through the E-Cycle Wisconsin program.

Lower recycling costs for personal electronics:

We are able to offset much of the typical recycling costs due to contributions from Cascade's manufacturing partners.

Morgan Stanley data breach caused by recycler

Morgan Stanley reported in July multiple data breach incidents related to devices sent to an undisclosed IT Asset Disposition vendor between 2016 to 2019. Data remained on the devices after leaving the ITAD vendor and it was unable to account for some servers that were retired from branch offices.

Morgan Stanley responded by notifying affected individuals and offering credit monitoring services. Still, the company faces at least seven class action lawsuits related to their alleged lapse in data security protocols.

This incident is a reminder of the importance of proper due diligence of vendors handling your retired IT assets.  Let Cascade help assess your current program to see where your security risks can be better protected.

Whether they be smartphones, tablets, wearables, or edge computing, these insights are being driven by organizations such as yours seeking to maximize reward and minimize risk from disposition.

There are three moves you can make today with your mobile device fleet to drive major financial benefit and reduce long term risk. The first eliminates the primary reason for price erosion, enabling you to recover 30% more value. The second reduces the primary reason for device fallout to make sure more units make it to market. And the third addresses the largest liability gap with a simple security requirement to elate your CISO and compliance teams.

Laptop donations support Milwaukee youth

In response to COVID-19, American Family Insurance partnered with the Sherman Phoenix, The Milky Way Tech Hub, and Connect Business Consulting of Milwaukee to develop an online curriculum for elementary and middle school students to augment their distance learning activities.

"It felt like the greatest of all gifts were being delivered to the Sherman Phoenix" said program organizer JoAnn Johnson-Sabir as Cascade delivered refurbished laptops for the program this summer. "We received 150 computers thanks to American Family Insurance and Cascade to give away!"

Participation in the program has been strong and swift. Additional laptop donations have been prepared and shipped by Cascade to support more youth.

In these times, we've found that the demand for donations of computer equipment is greater than ever. Cascade encourages our customers to help out by allowing us to direct a portion of your rebate payments or refurbished computer equipment to a worthwhile cause. Cascade can assist with this effort - we have organizations contacting us on a regular basis and would be happy to manage the entire donation process. Please let us know if we can help
