Patricia Ulbrich, Ph.D. is director and producer. She is a progressive social scientist, film student and visiting scholar in women studies at the University of Pittsburgh. For more than three decades, Dr. Ulbrich’s research has focused women’s issues, including how individuals’ race, class and gender shape their life chances. She was active in Sociologists for Women in Society and was the recipient of their Feminist Activist Award. She co-founded the Women and Girls Foundation of Southwest Pennsylvania. She served on the board of Pittsburgh Action Against Rape. She conceptualized and directs In Sisterhood: the Women’s Movement in Pittsburgh.

Grab a cup of coffee and join us!  We'll also keep the meeting going afterwards so we can chat and catch up!

It’s Board Election time! Are you ready to serve on the Board of Directors for Sunday Assembly Pittsburgh?  If so, we want you!

Do you have board or nonprofit experience?  Legal expertise?  Grant writing experience?  Theater, graphic design, social media management, or event-planing background?  These are skills that are in high demand on our Board.  If any of these pique your interest, or if you have other talents that you want to bring to the table, please reach out to a current Board member or send us an email.

Each year, we elect Board members to help Pittsburghers live better, help often, and wonder more.  You can bring your unique set of skills to help us create an engaged and radically-inclusive community.  A wide variety of skills are needed, and we would encourage you to reach out if you feel you could help foster this incredible community.

Did you know we have a monthly book club that's now being held virtually?

When? Second Sundays, 2-3:30pm
Where? Zoom (Link to be provided before the event on FaceBook.  Alternatively, email our Community Team chair, Ashley, directly for the link.)

Each month we read a book that matches the theme for the Assembly that month.  Join us for wonderful discussion and company, even if you haven't read any or all of the book! :)

See a list of upcoming themes and books below!
Treat yourself to some SA swag!
It's a great way to look good and support our community.

Not feeling like a shirt or a mug?  You can also donate through PayPal or talk to a Board Member at the next Assembly about becoming a sustaining member!
Want to get more involved?

We have lots of opportunities for you to get more involved.  That looks a bit different right now since we are virtual, but we'd love to have you help foster our virtual community.  You can shoot us an email and find out more!
