Issue 20

Hello <<First Name>>,

Inspiration is everywhere - if we tune our senses into it...

An image
A conversation
A word
An email
A prayer
A letter
A piece of art
A piece of music
A gesture
An element of nature...

Be generous in your inspiration this week - someone may welcome your generosity of spirit.

Tell a friend (or stranger!) about this e-letter and encourage others to sign up here so they too can be connected.

Check out the Greystones Parish and Kilquade Parish websites during the week for information too.

WEEKEND LITURGY

24th Sunday in Ordinary Time

The forty-two parables in the Gospels are designed to take us up short and make us think again. The parable this weekend in Matthew 20:1-16 is a good example. Let us read or hear it this weekend from the perspective of this reflection of Pope Francis on it:

“Jesus wants to make us contemplate the gaze of that landowner: the gaze with which he looks upon each of the labourers searching for work and calls them to go to his vineyard. It is a gaze which is filled with attention and kindness. It is a gaze which calls, invites one to ‘get up and begin a journey’ because God wants life for each of us; God wants a full, committed life, safe from emptiness and inertia. God excludes no one and wants each of us to achieve his or her fullness. This is the love of our God, of our God who is Father”.

(adapted from a reflection on the Gospel by Fr. Kieran O’Mahony OSA www.tarsus.ie)

Tune in to the webcam before 11:30am Mass to hear the welcome.
The Scripture readings are available daily and for Sunday.
